Improve focus and intensity (chair)

Hello traders, how are you?

Today i would like to give a quick tip about something that helped me to trade better and to keep a good focus and intensity during the day. You will think that the idea is crazy but it helped me a lot.

I used to have a very comfortable chair, a very expensive one, and i thought it was very good for me, but it wasn't. I can be 50 % more productive with a cheap chair as long as it is good for your back and its not very very comfortable the way you would not sleep. One thing that i learned some time ago is that one of the ways to change your mental state is the way you use your body physically. For example. That expensive and very comfortable chair made me very comfortable, so, i would have a very comfortable mental state, and my attention would be in "comfortable mode", rather than "alert mode".

For the people that say, "oh you need a very good chair that is very very comfortable because you will have back pain soon or later" i would recommend doing more physical exercise that includes back exercises. One hour/day at least.

Good trades guys and try the idea.

Strategy to keep intensity and focus all day

Hello guys,
I read this strategy on a trading book about financial markets.

The author suggests having a deck of cards and while we are analyzing markets, shuffle the cards and we will maintain the focus. Just like poker players moving chips. Its like  a routine to keep the focus.

Time management system

Hello guys, today i would like to share a simple time management system that i use on a daily basis for tasks that require some focus. It's very popular and it's great for someone that needs to get a lot of things done.
The system's name is "The pomodoro technique" and its basically setting a kitchen timer or software timer and just focus on that task till the timer expires, make a small break and start again doing another task for the same activity or another activity. On the website they provide the system and the sheets of the daily "to do lists" and activities. The idea of the system is really nice because when you have a deadline for something your mind usually focus on that very well. Try it.

Organizing your ideas

Hello guys, today i would like to talk about a simple software that offers a good database for your ideas and notes instead of creating 1000 files for each one of your ideas and you can do a lot more using it. I use it a lot and it's great to organize notes. If you dont want to upload the notes to the servers, i recommend you to create a local notebook on the software.
You can find it at https://www.evernote.com/.

Set price limit

Hello guys, today i would like to give you one idea to develop your tennis trading that i am still developing. Its about set price limits. For example , in the match of the image, What price Do you think cetskova would have if she lost the first set. She started 1.30's i would say maybe 2 or a bit more, and what if she reached this price during the set? Yes the idea is to get advantage of having a position in the best player and expect him to recover knowing that the price will not go against us a lot but can go in our side a lot, and thats the most probable scenario because players start very slow sometimes and recover after some time. In that match cetskova was +2 with the score 3.1 and some points (cant remeber) for brianti in the first set. She recovered and won the set.
Using this trading style, it's important to have clear exit points and you need some experience to know when the price has value like in this situation.

Tennis trick - Injured player retiring after first set completed

Hello guys, today i would like to talk about a situation that we can take advantage. It happens when there is a possibility of one player retiring in the end of the first set. In this case we can back the other player with an additional stake expecting for a retirement. If he doesnt retire we can lose one or two ticks or sometimes win one or two depends on the market and if the market has a decent liquidity, and in the best cases you can win more then 20 ticks. I already won more then 20 ticks more then one time just covering the possibility of one player retiring. Notice that this doesn't happen everyday, so, you will have to wait  a lot of time for one situation like this.

Pattern that happens right before Grandslams

This pattern happens a lot of times in the matches before grandslams. The best players will not play 100 % because they will not risk injuries so you have to be careful backing them and look more for value trades, but be careful because going against a favorite can cost a lot of €, so, plan it or just risk with your profit when your intuition says there is a chance, not a simple chance, a GOOD chance.

Grand slam trading - Big favs patterns

Hello guys, today i would like to post one pattern for grand slam. It happens a lot of times when there is a clear favorite in a grand slam match(best of 5). Basically, if they don't start slow they will fight for the first and second set with the same effort and usually relax in the third set. The third set is usually a good moment to lay these favorites and sometimes its here that happens miracles because there are some favorites that have some problems to get to the original level after relaxing, like for example Federer lately. If you remember Federer in wimbledon against Tsonga, he relaxed and Tsonga went to won the match.

Search for profitable patterns with one example (strategy)

Today, i would like to give you one case study to build profitable patterns.

Pattern:
Back favorite if he lost the first set.

How did i see it? Watching a lot of atp tennis matches, i noticed that the price goes down very fast in the second set for the favorite that lost the first set if he starts to play well. I noticed also that the price goes down faster in that player because he is better in theory and markets know it. So basically the pattern is to take advantage of a slow start from a player on the first set for the second set knowing that his odds will bouce back faster for his side and other player can relax and start to do more unforced errors.

Ok, now we know the pattern, but how can we make it profitable?
We need indicators. First of all this pattern is very dangerous in wta. Why? Women's serv is very weak and you can get burned very easilly. Ok so what do we need? Good serv and consistency. Atp is better for that.
More indicators? Knowing the players' profile. It's very important. Prices? It's here that you have to study. Checking for value and fair prices but to start i would recommend odds of 2 or near in both because with lower odds in the player that lost the first set you need a lot of experience, because they are not motivated all the time.

Indicators:
- Atp matches.
- good serv.
- Player profile.

Dont forget that for an entry point you always need a clear exit point.

Extreme way to make change happen

This is not a joke. It's a powerful method to make change happen.

Buy dog or cat food.
Make a promise that you will follow rules and if you don't follow it...
Eat that food.

Instead of dog and cat food you can choose something you really hate to do. So you will take advantage of that pain to dont break rules.

"keep real money with you"

The strategy is simple but very powerful. Keep real money with you while trading. For example if you use 100 € stakes keep 100€ in money with you where you can see it. What is the objective here? The objective is to remind us that we are trading real money, and while 100 € can be a low stake in our mind while trading if we keep the real money our mind will clearly see that its a lot of money and we have to play defensive, protecting it, protecting our bank and that is the best mindset. Defensive doesnt mean you wont take opportunities, its like when you drive a car, you must have a defensive driving to protect yourself. In this case its the bank. One should focus on protecting what you have.
This way you are going to stay much more focused because you know are risking that 100 € in real money that you have in front of you.

Tennis trick - Get some extra control (break near the end of the set)

If there is a break near the end of the set there are a lot of times where we can stay till the end of the set. There is always the risk of a break back, so we have to be careful and pay attention to the stats of the player we are backing. If we get the set we have some control with some green and can give a chance for our player to break in the second set. This trick can be very profitable in wta because if our player gets the first set and the breaks are more probable in wta, the probability of having a break in the second set is bigger then in atp.

Improve your stop loss system - Stop Loss systems

-50%

Leave the match when you are -50 % is an option for a stop loss system.

Recovery point

This is a subject that im still developing in my trading and studing but i think i can tell you the main idea. If you do a freestyle trading (different strategies at different times) its very benefic to search for your max point to recover your red. I'll give you one example.

For example:
Imagine that you trade for a long time and you decide to improve your stop loss system(imagine its the "leave when -50%").
For every match you start to record the biggest red you had at some point of the match and the final result that can be the biggest red or some other result and the max red you can have for the match is -50 %.
Imagine that you trade one match and in the end of the first set you are with -30% and in the end of the second set you have -10%. You have to record these variables. - 30 % is the point of recover.
After one month(more time to study -> better) you will check your best point of recover, that is basically the last point where you will have a chance to recover and if your red raises above that limit you get out of the match. You can apply math to choose the best point. In the long run this will probably save a lot of money.
Just one idea that you can start applying.

three in a row

When you have three losing trades in a row leave the match. This system will save you a lot of money and help you to indentify unpredictable matches.

One way to choose tennis matches

                                                                    post

Protection for big favorite strategy

"Big favorite strategy:
Close your trade right after 1st set. why? Normally big favs win by 6.3 , 6.2 , .. and they will sometimes relax a lot because they think, " i can beat this guy with minimum effort" and they start playing with very low effort. And if they lose the set like they do a lot of times, they will trade higher then the start price and sometimes in the second set we are just looking for 4 ticks max and there is no value in that.
